Your pets give you a lot of happiness and are considered to be part of the family. February is veterinary dental health month, help them live a long life with regular pet teeth cleaning . When they need a procedure done, it is important to make sure they are ready for the big day. Whether it is for a spay or neuter, an operation, or dental cleaning, here is how to prepare your pet:
1. Don’t feed them before the cleaning
When your cat or dog is groggy from the anesthesia, it can get sick. If anything gets down in their lungs, it can cause major health problems. Consult your vet for timing and to make sure your pet doesn’t have any other special dietary needs.
2. Prepare a comfortable area for resting
It will take time to recover from the cleaning, so get their crate or bedding area ready. Keep other active pets away from them as well to allow proper resting time.
3. Drop your pet off early
